Meals Do Matter
Our Meals Do Matter Ministry prepares meals for delivery to families throughout our community. About once every three months, meals are prepared/assembled at our church and then kept in a dedicated freezer on site. All St. Paul members are encouraged to pick up and deliver a meal to family, neighbors, friends or co-workers in our local community who could benefit from a pre-cooked meal at a time of need. Each meal delivered comes with a prayer card and a note about our congregation. In addition to volunteering for one of the preparation/assembly times, we also need people to grocery shop for ingredients and do some in-home preparation before meal assembly sessions. Contact Lori Bateman who coordinates this ministry for more information.
Calendar of Donations
Each week St. Paul members bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to the PRC food pantry. In addition, several months throughout the calendar year are designated for specific donations for local ministry partners. Examples in the past have included food, litter and toys for the DuPage Animal Shelter, Christmas gifts for the Outreach Ministry Christmas Store, School Supplies for PRC, small toiletries for PADS guests, household items for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and for 360 Youth Services Transitional Housing, diapers and other paper products for PRC.
