The
Saint Paul Choir begins the new season with rehearsals on Wednesdays
from 7:30 to 8:30. The choir sings alternately at 8:30 and
11:00
a.m. most Sundays, leading worship through hymn-singing and anthems
incorporating a wide array of musical styles. Senior choir
membership is open to all interested adult and high school
singers. New members are warmly invited to give the adult
choir a
try. Among the highlights leading up to Christmas are a newly composed work for Rally Day by Carl Heine, new arrangements of Shaker hymns for Quilt Sunday, a stirring gospel setting of "Amazing Grace," a fast moving Brazilian Psalm 150, All Saints performances of the complete Rutter "Requiem" with the choir of St. Michael Catholic and masterworks for Advent and Christmas Day by Dufay, Handel and Franz Biebl. For more information, contact Carl Heine at 630-682-3924 or heine@imsa.edu |
The
members of Youth Choir come from grades two through eight. They work
hard when learning new music. But they also have good times
together when they take a break from singing to have holiday parties
with games, prizes, food and fellowship. Not only do they
work
hard but they get along with each other in many wonderful
ways.
Come to sing, act, dance, and enjoy fellowship with kids your
age! Youth Choir meets on Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room. For more information please contact Michelle Harvey (630-510-3059) or Sue Bosse-Millington (630-561-6981). |
