what do lutheran christians believe?
We believe in radical grace through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who offers us forgiveness and healing for the brokenness in our lives.
We believe that in Jesus' dying and rising, he has promised us life out of death--both today and in our future.
We believe that the Holy Spirit poured out upon Jesus' followers calls and strengthens us, guides us, and renews us--making us one with him and with each other.
We believe that the Spirit has given each follower of Jesus a calling to seek justice, work for peace, and strive for wholeness in all of creation.
We believe that everything that is belongs to God. Including us. And you.
What should I wear to worship?

what is to be expected during worship?
We are a liturgical church that follows the Lutheran tradition for worship. We currently use the Narrative Lectionary, out of Luther Seminary, for all of our orders of service. Music during worship may be described as a blend of traditional and contemporary with a combination of settings and hymns from: The Evangelical Lutheran Worship, With One Voice, Now the Feast and Celebration, and original settings composed by our Music Director.
is there a high school ministry program?
Yes! This program, known as Connections, is the place for St. Paul high school youth and friends to get together and encounter God through Scripture, song, prayer, and one another.
what are your requirements for baptism?
Pastor Jared Olson will perform baptisms when the parents are either members of the church or are in the process of joining the church. He will also perform baptisms for nonmembers on a case-by-case basis. Please contact him at email@example.com for more information.
what are your requirements for weddings?
St. Paul hosts weddings for all members; nonmember weddings are hosted on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in having your wedding at St. Paul, please contact Pastor Jared Olson for more information.
St. Paul offers marriage for same-sex couples. If you do not currently have a home church, we would encourage you to establish your church home here. If you are active members currently in a church that cannot perform your marriage but you desire a Christian wedding in a church, please speak with Pastor Jared Olson.
what are your requirements for funerals?
Funerals and memorial services are celebrations of the resurrection as loved ones are remembered. Most St. Paul funeral and memorial services are held in the worship space, where members worship and where the rich resources of Christian hymnology and music are most accessible. Naturally, Pastor Jared is also available for services at Funeral Homes and other community locations.
Contact Pastor Jared Olson, firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-668-5953, to begin the funeral or memorial service planning. Please call to coordinate the details with the church prior to setting a date and time with a funeral home.
