Faith Circle remains the last remnant of the ‘era of Circles’ which began in 1963. It holds to a tradition of offering education, spiritual growth and service to others for women from 19-90+! Gatherings take place monthly at noon in Fellowship Hall September through May. Everyone brings BBL (Brown Bag Lunch). Beverages and dessert are provided. The 2 ½ hours spent together includes devotions offered as the spiritual focus of the day. Monthly programs are timely in content, as is the signing of greeting cards for those not able to join us.
An offsite, worldwide service project involves packing meals for “Feed My Starving Children.” Offerings are apportioned to a wide variety of local entities such as: -- Peoples Resource Center, Outreach Community Services and others as a need arises. Monetary gifts are also given to various groups in the congregation; such as helping finance our youth on their yearly mission trips to various destinations, two of which were Detroit and Mexico.
But the most meaningful spiritual aspect of these gatherings is the Circle of Prayer. Forming a circle and clasping hands, we voice our gratitude and concerns to the God who has made our connectedness possible.
