Paul assists building
Habitat for Humanity home  This is the Habitat for Humanity home that St. Paul helped to build this year. Located in Elgin, these pictures were taken at the dedication when Denise Bird and her son, Donovan, were given the keys to the house. Howard Sauerman and Barb Akey worked with Lutheran churches in the Central DuPage Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to get funding and volunteer hours to complete the house. Our share of funds was taken from the Witness budget and MANY volunteer hours were put in by Ken Henschler and Fred Reklau. YOUR next chance to volunteer will be in July when ThriventBuilds starts another home in Aurora. |
